Email QR Code Generator

Make it easy to contact you: an email QR code opens a new message in the email app of whoever scans it – addressed to you, with the subject and text you choose. Ideal for feedback, support requests, orders and sign-ups.

How to create an email QR code

  1. Enter the email address that should receive the messages.
  2. Optionally add a subject and a message, such as “Feedback on my order” or “Please send me the brochure.”
  3. Download the code and print it on flyers, packaging, posters or forms. People can still edit the email before they send it.

How the email link works

The code contains a mailto: link as defined in RFC 6068, for example mailto:info@example.com?subject=Feedback&body=Hello. When it is scanned, the phone opens its email app – Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook or whichever app is set as the default – with a new message.

Subjectsubject=
Messagebody=

Spaces and special characters are percent-encoded, and line breaks in the message are written as CRLF, so every email app shows them correctly. Nothing is sent automatically: the person reviews the email and sends it themselves.

Frequently asked questions

Is the email sent automatically?

No. The code only opens a draft. The person who scans it decides whether to send it, and can change the subject and text first.

Which email apps does it work with?

With every app that handles mailto: links – Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook and others. If no email app is set up, the phone asks which app to use.

What is the difference to a vCard QR code?

An email QR code opens a new message to you. A vCard QR code saves your contact details – including the email address – to the address book.

Is my email address stored anywhere?

No. The code is created in your browser, and nothing you enter is sent to a server.
