Instagram QR Code Generator

Turn your Instagram username into a QR code. When people scan it, your profile opens in the Instagram app – or in the browser if the app is not installed – so they can follow you right away.

The code opens the profile in the Instagram app, or in the browser if the app is not installed.

Show the encoded content

Static QR code: the content is stored in the code itself, so it never expires and works without this website.

Private: your data is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to create an Instagram QR code

  1. Enter your username, e.g. @yourbrand, or paste the link to your profile – the username is taken from it.
  2. Add your logo and brand colors under Design, colors and logo if you like.
  3. Download the code and put it on flyers, menus, product packaging, shop windows or business cards.

What the code contains

The code holds the link https://instagram.com/yourname. You can enter the username in any of these forms:

You enterUsername used
@yourname or yournameyourname
https://www.instagram.com/yourname/?hl=enyourname
https://instagram.com/p/… (a post)not accepted – it is not a profile

Instagram usernames have up to 30 characters: letters, numbers, periods and underscores. If you rename your account, the old code no longer leads to you – create a new one.

Where Instagram QR codes work best

Tell people what they get – a code with a clear call to action is scanned far more often than a code on its own.

Frequently asked questions

Instagram has its own QR code. Why use this one?

Instagram's profile QR code is made in the app. This generator works without logging in, lets you add your own logo, choose colors and shapes, and download an SVG for print.

Can I link to a post or reel?

This page creates codes for profiles. For a post, a reel or any other link, copy the link and paste it into the QR code generator on the home page.

Do people need an Instagram account to scan it?

No. Without the app, the profile opens in the browser, where Instagram may ask visitors to log in to see more.

Does the code expire?

No. It is a static code and works as long as your username stays the same.
